Michael Curry Fired

This is what Joe D. needed to do- it was the right move, and one that I didn’t think Joe could make this season. Could this be opening the door for Bill Laimbeer?
From mlive.com:
AUBURN HILLS – The never-ending carousel of coaches for the Detroit Pistons continues with the announcement that head coach Michael Curry has been fired.
“This was a difficult decision to make,” said Joe Dumars, Detroit’s president of basketball operations. “I want to thank Michael for his hard work and dedication to the organization. However, at this time, I …

•For once, the Pistons looked like a youthful group that could keep up with one of the league’s top teams- until the clock struck 12 [minutes left in the fourth quarter]. Initially up by eight then outscored 32-14 in the final quarter, this was one of the most embarrassing Piston collapses in recent memory.

Nevertheless, the Stuckey era is arriving and Rodney will continue to progress regardless of the lineup Michael Curry provides him with.” [AD]
“Allen Iverson should start. The proof is in the pudding that ever since Rip Hamilton has been sitting out, the Pistons have been winning. I believe that they have won 8 of their last 10 games with Rip out so …

AI, Rip, and Sheed: Take a Seat

Why did the Pistons hire Michael Curry?
Short and simple: they needed someone who would punish our little drama queens when they got out of line.
Judging by his [lack of] decision-making during Sunday’s pitiful performance against the Knicks, he’s not doing a very good job.
There are so many questions. Why, after going scoreless in the first 4 minutes and finishing the first quarter down by 17 points, was the bench not in sooner? How did Walter Herrmann sit the first 3 quarters when the Pistons were getting manhandled? Why did Rodney …
