It looks like Rodney Stuckey is finally cleared to play, two months after undergoing hand surgery.

The Pistons announced that doctors cleared the rookie point guard on Thursday to begin full-contact practice as well as to play in games. He has sat out for two months, missing the first 25 games, with three broken bones in his left, non-shooting hand.

According to ESPN’s J.A. Adande, Chris Webber is strongly considering a return to the Pistons.

Fourteen-year veteran Chris Webber is close to returning to the NBA, with the Pistons his likely destination, a source close to Webber told ESPN.com.

“Look for him to be back the first week of January,” the source said.

However, do the Pistons even want C-Webb back? Only time will tell…

This year’s Minnesota Timberwolves are being projected as “one of the worst teams ever” by many NBA analysts. Their team owner is projecting that the team will lose between $10 million and $15 million this season.

Looks like there’s already trade talks a-brewin’: Flip Murray for J.R. Smith. The deal could possibly include Ronald Dupree, but the Nuggets have shown signs that they’re not too interested in picking up that baggage too. Looks like Joe D. has chosen Supa Dup as his man to market considering the Pistons are one-man-over and only $400,000 away from coughing up the luxury tax. I love Flip Murray and all, but this might be quite the opportunity if Smith can pull of more games like he did in Grand Rapids.

The Miami Heat have officially finished the preseason. Their record: 0-7. Sure, preseason is just preseason, but that’s pretty pitiful. So pitiful, in fact, that it’s never happened in their 20-year history.

I grew up in Dallas, so I’ve always been a Mark Cuban fan. But unfortunately, my (rich) main man was ousted from Dancing With The Stars last night. Although I was deeply saddened, it wasn’t nearly as bad as when I had to see Wayne Newton go.

Either I’m not understanding something or the minds of NBA GM’s are just way too complex for me. In the annual preseason vote, their favorite to win the title was San Antonio (which I can understand), but when it came to MVP, Dirk Nowitzki didn’t even receive a single vote to return as MVP this year. A little strange, considering he received 17 GM votes at the same time last year. I guess you can call it voter’s regret?

In the same poll, LeBron James beat out Tim Duncan and Kobe Bryant as the favorite for MVP this year. How many votes did LeBron get last year? Why, I’m glad you asked. He got none.

As you all probably know, Chris Webber is not headed overseas. Apparently he’s just too much of an “NBA guy”. There aren’t many logical options now that don’t involve a Detroit contract or retirement.

Carlos Delfino had a well-rounded night as he started for the Raptors Saturday night. The Argentinian had 7 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals as the Raptors squared up against the star-studded Celtics. He also led Toronto in minutes with 31.

Sticking to the same game, the Garnett-Allen-Pierce trio dropped 50 of the Celtics’ 89 points in a narrow preseason rout of Toronto. Ray Allen was cold, shooting only 1-7 from beyond the arc.

Isiah Thomas remains in the news, losing his legal battle to the tune of an $11.6 million payout from Madison Square Garden. Thomas didn’t have to pay a dime, although the court loss remains another big blow to his public image.

The Spurs signed Bruce Bowen to a 2-year contract extension, leaving newly acquired Ime Udoka fighting for playing time. Udoka started 75 games for the Blazers last season, looks like he better get ready for a lot of change.

I’m pretty sick of hearing about LeBron James and his damn hat. I really don’t care what team he roots for or why it’s such a big deal. Would I care if Chauncey Billups showed up to a Lions game sporting a Raiders jersey? No. In fact, I’d probably support it. All I know is that every breath James takes is being documented, reported, and headlined and something needs to be done about it. Although I did enjoy reading about a Cleveland gas station sign that read: “LeBron James. King of Nothing. Fan of Yankees. Get Out of Town.”

Finally, someone agrees with me.
