Finally!
Prior to Sunday, the last seven games were tough times for avid Pistons fans. Honestly, we were almost halfway to catching up with the Nets. But the drought ended Sunday afternoon, and that deserves a post.
•Historically, from what I can remember, the Pistons are horrible in Sunday afternoon games. To have this game be the one that snaps the streak is big.
•I’m surprised the Pistons aren’t doing worse, considering 95% of their team is injured in some way or another.
•Charlie broke his nose – story of the month for Detroit. Can’t wait to see if he sports a Rip mask better than Bill Laimbeer.
•Not enough can be said about Big Ben. He’s still a sellout in my mind, but the tenacity he’s showing at his age is incredible. Without his 11 offensive rebounds, the outcome of this game would be a different story.
•Stuckey. Solid.
•The Mad Swede continues to dominate with his temporary starting position. This guy is producing more than Tayshaun used to at this point. The more Jerebko continues to improve, the more open I become to Tay getting traded away.
•Josh Smith had five blocks, a couple above his average. Watching him swat shots is a thing of beauty.
•Chucky got a starting spot, but didn’t do much with the time, going 1-7 and finishing with 2 points. Why did we give away Arron Afflalo again?
