Arron Afflalo filled in for Rip at the starting SG spot, and he did his job well. The energy this guy brings to the floor night after night is incredible, and his stats don’t do him justice. Can you say “intangibles”?

“This game is another vindication for the young guys,” said Billups, who scored nine of his 32 points in overtime. “I have an unbelievable amount of confidence in those guys.”

23 points and 9 boards in a hot night from downtown for Sheed.

Amare had his way with 33 points, and the man can shoot free throws too.

Rodney Stuckey had a good night and filled up that stat line as well as I’ve seen him do.

“Every game like this is going to help me for the playoffs,” Stuckey said. “I’ve been working hard on my jumper and it paid off tonight.”

I can’t believe how much Grant Hill has evolved into a classic NBA model of a flopper. He must’ve gotten a word or two from Raja Bell.

Something else that I can’t believe: Mike D’Antoni wasn’t ejected in the 4th quarter.
