42 team assists lead Pistons past Nuggets in 136-120 shootout
The Pistons’ 136 points were the most points the team has scored in regulation since a 140-109 victory over Orlando in 1990- and we all know what happened in 1990.
Remember that streak a couple of years ago where the Pistons held their opponents under 70 for so many games? Well the Pistons had 73 points tonight at halftime. Does this a statement about the Nuggets (lack of) defense? I think so.
Rasheed had an outstanding scoring effort, particularly when he scored 8 points in the first 2 minutes of the 4th.
Rip was knocking shots down as usual, he finished with 24 on 11-19 shooting.
Jarvis Hayes looked like he was trying to prove that those 29 points the other night were no fluke- and he did. He came out firing and notched 17 off the bench, not to mention 5 boards and 4 assists.
Melo was nowhere to be found in the first half, but lit it up in the 3rd and finished with 27.
This was ruled a double foul by the refs. I only see one foul happening:

Good job on getting around the long arm of Marcus Camby, who was limited to a single block- he’s averaging 4 per game.
Tayshaun: 9 assists.
The Nuggets’ Linas Kleiza was ejected in the final minute for arguing a call.
Did I mention Barry Sanders was there?
Pistons take on the “revamped” Cavs tonight at 8:00 on ESPN.
