Finally! Pistons knock off Bulls; 116-109
At last, a Detroit-Chicago match-up that goes our way.
Chauncey had 34 points to help the Pistons avoid the season sweep from the Bulls. He shot 9-12 from the field and 13-14 from the stripe.
However, it was also “one of those nights” for Ben Gordon on the other end. He was 10-12 and finished with 27 points.
The battle at the point was backed up by superior rebounding from the Pistons, who out-rebounded Chicago by 14, much due in part to the efforts of McDyess, Ratliff and Maxiell.
Jason Maxiell had a monster jam on Aaron Gray with 1.4 seconds left in the 1st.
Just when I thought Tayshaun’s “iron man” days were over, he pops back up and drops 15 points in the last 17 minutes.

I don’t know what Drew Gooden looks worse with- the ridiculous pony tail or the ridiculous beard.
I’m liking what I’m seeing from Theo Ratliff. If he can start for an injured Rasheed this early in his Pistons stint and notch 10 points, 8 boards and 3 blocks in just over 2 quarters of action, he should prove to be a solid backup when playoff time rolls around.
Although the bench numbers weren’t huge for this game, they did what was needed of them and we got a “W” out of it.
Joakim Noah appears to be coming of age, especially with Big Ben hanging around in Cleveland these days.
Rip’s guaranteed scoreage continues as usual: 23 points, 7 assists.
Pistons take on the surprisingly hot 76ers Wednesday at 7:30.
