The Post Up

Regardless of the fact that I was sick of the LeBron hype 4 years ago, it seems worse now than it ever has been. James scored 41 points last night, but I can see just about anyone putting up those numbers when they take 32 shots. If Rip jacked 32 up in a night, he’d have somewhere in the 50-55 neighborhood. Rip’s 39 points versus the Raptors a couple weeks ago came on 22 shots- 10 less than James needed for his 41. Oh well, I guess it’s just another day for the Pistons under the radar.

Looks like Arron Afflalo is back in for some good minutes, seeing to Rodney Stuckey’s unimpressive rotation debut.
“I understand it’s a business and sometimes guys have to make a decision,” Afflalo said. “On a personal standpoint, it just made me get in the gym and work harder. That’s my only response to a lot of things — work hard and try to elevate my game and get to the point where they trust me a little more.”
Coach Don Nelson wants Chris Webber back on the Golden State Warriors- where Webber played 14 years ago. Again, don’t get your hopes up for a C-Webb Pistons return.
Chris McCosky of the Detroit News thinks Tayshaun Prince epitomizes the idea of a team player.

More jersey-popping from the Celtics- seems like every game they win it’s happening now…after dropping one to the Magic last night, all that cockiness might finally be rubbing off on them. The Pistons trail by only 4 games for the outright Eastern Conference lead.
