Pistons Fall to Bulls Once Again, Drop Second Straight
The Pistons have a bad habit of making bad teams look really, really good- namely the Chicago Bulls.
The Pistons dropped their third straight matchup with the Bulls so far this season, losing 97-81. Unfortunately, this is not the last time we will be seeing them either.
Despite these desparate times, Chauncey continues to run the show: 27 points, 5 dimes, 3 steals.
Jacker-upper extraordinare Ben Gordon had his way last night, scoring 33 points, 13 of those coming on free throws.
Ben Wallace: 6 points, 7 rebounds, no blocks. Worth 60 million? Not so much. Controversial rookie Joakim Noah came off the bench and got more done than he did.
Jarvis Hayes had a great shooting night off the bench, but none of the other reserves did much of anything- again. I miss Flip Murray…
Outrebounded 32-41.
Arron Afflalo saw more time than Rodney Stuckey did last night. Maybe Flip Saunders is having second thoughts about that 8-man rotation?
As much as I despise the Bulls, I enjoyed watching Thabo Sefolosha play. Although I think he would’ve been more effective at the 2 or 3 position as opposed to running the point.
Bulls shot 89% from the stripe, Pistons shot 65%.
Fortunately, our next game is against the Magic, who are well above .500 and actually doing well, so I expect a Pistons 30-point victory. Thank God we’re not playing the Heat or the Timberwolves or something.
