Stuckey Ready for Rotation
According to the detnews.com, Rodney Stuckey will now be seeing a sharp increase in playing time, and he has officially made the main 8-man rotation.
Flip Saunders said that he cut down the rotation from 9 to 8, which will result in a decrease in Arron Afflalo’s minutes, if only temporarily.
“We are trying to get Stuckey in there more with our main guys,” Saunders said.
Stuckey had eight points and five assists (two turnovers) in 25 minutes Tuesday. He played both the point guard and shooting guard positions.
“I don’t have my rhythm yet,” Stuckey said. “I still feel I am second-guessing myself a little bit, which I shouldn’t be doing. I am an aggressive player. But it will come.”
The move leaves Afflalo, Herrmann, Brezec and Johnson to pick up the “garbage” minutes for now, and that may change if Saunders decides to dress Flip Murray or Lindsey Hunter.
We’ll see how Stuckey handles his second night on the job tonight against Sacramento at 8:00 p.m.
