Knicks Pound Pistons; 89-65
Bad shot selection, a bad field goal percentage, and a lot of bad luck led to an embarrassing loss as the Pistons fell to the out-of-sync New York Knicks Sunday night.
The Pistons were throwing up bricks all night, making a lowly 31% of their attempted field goals.
It appeared as if Detroit just gave up somewhere around the end of the 3rd quarter. Starters got benched, and it turned into a glorified practice for the bench.
Ex-Spartan ZachRandolph picked us apart- 25 points and 8 rebounds.
Ex-Wolverine Jamaal Crawford had all 15 of his points in the 3rd quarter, including an unbelievable no-look and-1 ona foul from Dyes under the rim.
The Pistons had 42 points to start the 4th quarter.
Rip had an awful foul on Nate Robinson on a desparation 3 as time ran out at the half. The foul sent Robinson to the line for three shots, and he made all of them. It just wasn’t Rip’s night, when was the last time he finished a game with 3 points?
What happened to Tayshaun? 0-10 for 0 points?
The Pistons went 2-15 from beyond the arc.
Dyess and Chauncey put up the only solid numbers for the Pistons. Dyess finished with 15 points and 13 boards, Chauncey had 14 points.
