Pistons Roll to 11th Straight; Down Raptors 101-85

rip-hamilton-1-4-08.jpgThe streak is still alive- the Pistons made it 11-in-a-row against the Raptors last night with yet another lopsided win.

ppbullet2.png Rip Hamilton: more under-the-radar action from Mister Consistency. He hit 8-11 and knocked down all 6 free throws for a silent but deadly 22 points.

ppbullet2.png Rodney Stuckey continues to prove himself as a real spark plug off the bench:

After a 7-2 run gave Detroit a 69-64 lead after three quarters, the rookie had two steals, two assists and a breakaway layup on the first three possessions of the fourth as the Pistons pushed their lead back to 11.

“He was great on both ends,” Billups said. “He’s so tough. He plays with a lot of fire. He brings a dimension to our team that we really need.” (AP)

ppbullet2.png Carlos Delfino had a less-than-perfect first game against his former team. He was held scoreless in 14 minutes of play. Although he played 11 minutes under his average, his performance was still out of tune considering his 10 point/5 rebound average this season… better luck on January 15th?

rasheed-wallace-1-4-08-sc.bmpppbullet2.png The relentless lights-out downtown shooting continues- Pistons went 8-16. Sheed singlehandedly had 5 of those 8. For a 6’11″ center, this kind of shot chart is a work of art for my eyes.

ppbullet2.png Smooth basketball played from both sides: only 11 combined turnovers from both teams.

ppbullet2.png Chris Bosh was looking like the All-Star material that he claims to be worthy of. He dropped 23 and grabbed 16 boards

ppbullet2.png Pistons dominated the boards, 47-36. On the other hand, it was a rare “no blocks” night for Detroit as well.

ppbullet2.png Despite the constant success that Detroit is having, the Celtics still have the #1 seed in the East. They are, once again, on a good looking run with 8 straight wins.

Let’s just hope all of that changes tomorrow.

Pistons-Celtics: The Rematch, tonight at 7:30 p.m.
