Pistons Overcome Dismal Start to Beat Hornets 91-76
The Pistons overcame an early double-digit deficit by rallying to beat the New Orleans Hornets Wednesday night.
Though down 16-26 after one “20%-from-the-field” quarter was in the books, they followed by outscoring the Hornets by 12 in the second quarter to head into the locker room with a lead.
The key to this one was the bench. They gave the Pistons the boost they needed in the 2nd quarter when the starters were cold. Big props to Jarvis, Lindsey and JMax.
Rip finally hit that magic 20-point mark that he’s missed for the past few weeks. The backcourt is looking pretttty good right now.
Tyson Chandler picked the Pistons apart on the glass, especially in the first half. He finished with 22 boards.
Chauncey and Co. did an excellent job limiting Chris Paul at the point. He only managed 14 points and turned the ball over 3 times.
Speaking of Chauncey, he went 1-9 from downtown…yikes. Regardless, I can’t complain about 7 rebounds and 7 assists.
This is a pretty awful shooting game altogether, the Pistons shot 41% and the Hornets shot a pretty pathetic 35%.
