Pistons Rip Nets, 118-95

max120207.jpgThe Pistons pulled ahead after the first quarter and never looked back against the Nets Sunday night. Detroit remains on top of the Central Division, now at 11-5.

They’ve simply been on fire in the past week. In the past 3 games, they’ve shot 58%, 51%, and 56% respectively from the field. In Flip Saunders’ (as well as my own) opinion, the Pistons are “firing on all cylinders” right now.

ppbullet.pngThe Pistons’ stat sheet looks incredible. Almost everyone shot .500 or above, and if they didn’t, they were only one shot below. It’s good to see the rebounds going are way and 8 turnovers isn’t anything to shake a stick at.

ppbullet.pngChauncey and Rip dropped 37 on a combined 12-19 shooting and were 10-11 from the line. Nice to see the backcourt combination that we were used to before all these injuries.

ppbullet.pngMax continues to develop in a hurry: 18 points, 11 rebounds, 3 blocks. Double-doubles seem to be the norm for Jason these days.

ppbullet.pngVince Carter is wreckless. Wreckless but good.

ppbullet.pngAmir Johnson committed 5 fouls in just 9 minutes of playing time. A couple of the calls were shaky, but he needs to watch where he’s swatting.

ppbullet.pngAlthough Jason Kidd only had 6 points, he dished out 16 assists. All in a day’s work, of course.

Detroit vs. Atlanta: Tuesday @ 7:00 p.m.
