Pistons Stumble Past Lowly Knicks, 98-86
The Pistons got a much-needed win Wednesday night, but it wasn’t pretty.
Chauncey was on fire, notably in the 1st quarter. He had 25 points and 15 assists with ZERO turnovers. It’s really starting to look like the old Chauncey is back.
Did Dyess just come back from an injury? If so, I couldn’t tell. His 20 points wasn’t too convincing that his bum shoulder was bothering him at all. Maybe he should wear that brace more often.
Nobody could touch Eddy Curry, there were way too many barely-contested layups from him.
The Knicks erased a 14-point deficit early and almost erased a 20-point difference about midway through the 4th. About 4 easy layups from Curry and Randolph gave the Palace a scare, but the Pistons got their heads on straight and managed to pull it out.
I don’t think Nate Robinson is too fond of passing the ball. There were countless drives when he could’ve given up a highly-contested shot for an easy kickout to a teammate. Looks like his ego is getting the best of him as of late.
Flip Murray needs to learn how to give it up on the break once and awhile.
Sheed left the game in the first half with a sore left knee. Hopefully this doesn’t become a recurring problem for him.
Next game: November 23 vs. Philadelphia @ 8:00 p.m.
