ppbullet.png As you all probably know, Chris Webber is not headed overseas. Apparently he’s just too much of an “NBA guy”. There aren’t many logical options now that don’t involve a Detroit contract or retirement.

ppbullet.png Carlos Delfino had a well-rounded night as he started for the Raptors Saturday night. The Argentinian had 7 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals as the Raptors squared up against the star-studded Celtics. He also led Toronto in minutes with 31.

ppbullet.png Sticking to the same game, the Garnett-Allen-Pierce trio dropped 50 of the Celtics’ 89 points in a narrow preseason rout of Toronto. Ray Allen was cold, shooting only 1-7 from beyond the arc.

ppbullet.png Isiah Thomas remains in the news, losing his legal battle to the tune of an $11.6 million payout from Madison Square Garden. Thomas didn’t have to pay a dime, although the court loss remains another big blow to his public image.

ppbullet.png The Spurs signed Bruce Bowen to a 2-year contract extension, leaving newly acquired Ime Udoka fighting for playing time. Udoka started 75 games for the Blazers last season, looks like he better get ready for a lot of change.

ppbullet.png I’m pretty sick of hearing about LeBron James and his damn hat. I really don’t care what team he roots for or why it’s such a big deal. Would I care if Chauncey Billups showed up to a Lions game sporting a Raiders jersey? No. In fact, I’d probably support it. All I know is that every breath James takes is being documented, reported, and headlined and something needs to be done about it. Although I did enjoy reading about a Cleveland gas station sign that read: “LeBron James. King of Nothing. Fan of Yankees. Get Out of Town.”

Finally, someone agrees with me.

All due respect but, I just clicked this link from need4sheed did you model the site after it because it looks very similar.

Not really, I think the only aspect is “The Post Up” which is an “Around the Way” type segment where I recap NBA news that I thought was interesting…you can find the same type of thing on PistonsNation called “hook’d up”, it’s a popular section of sports blogs that writers often include.
I tried to lay out the site so that it had that newspaper feel…as you can probably tell by the header font, I was going along the lines of the Washington Post or the New York Post, if you catch me…
Need4Sheed is quite the site, huh? I’ve been following it for around 2 years and Natalie really provides a fun view to Pistons stories that a lot of fans share…I was honored when she put me on her link list!
Anyway, thanks for the question and keep visiting The Piston Post and Need4Sheed for more great Pistons news!

A run down of links is not unique to need4sheed. Most blogs do a link run down like The Post Up. I really like the look of this site. I like the newspaper feel, like an entire paper for just Pistons. I don’t think Piston Post looks anything like need4sheed honestly.

Keep up the good work Adam.

Well thanks for the mad props PN! I’ve always wanted to start a true Pistons fan site, but I never knew how much work it was!
But no worries, I’m still truckin’ along…hopefully someday I’ll get up there with the sports blog gods…
I’m actually really surprised with the success of the site so far, I think it comes in part a lot to you guys adding me to blogrolls and linking to my articles and such, I really appreciate it!
    –Best of luck–
